Default Low compression

I have 60 psi on cylinder and I think it should be 90 or above. G1 1982 model. Can a reed valve cause this? Head has been rebuilt, new piston and rings.

Yes, piston was correct. Does head gasket require any adhesive or go on dry ?

I bought this from a guy that rebuilt top end himself so I will measure ring gap before I go back together with it. He went 0.100 over. He got tired of messing with it.

Specs for G1 Gas Engine:
Std. Bore 68.00mm
Piston Clearance 0.03 ~ 0.035 mm
Ring End Gap 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm
Flywheel Nut 52.6 ft. lbs.
Clutch Bolt 43 ft. lbs.
Crankcase Bolts 4.7 ft. lbs.
Head Bolts (Initial) 14.5 ft. lbs. (Final) 18 ft. lbs

.1 is a lot spec in inches is .007-.015 if you have it part I'd check Piston clearance also if he used the cheap Chinese rebuild kit they aren't always within spec

Even 90 is probably too low. You should be closer to 120 psi.

82 is the odd ball motor it was lower compression than the other years 90 would be minimum for that year if you can get to 100-110 on these motors you're good to go
