Default 1998 G16a Throttle pedal question

Hello all. I am new to golf carts and this forum. I just purchased a used 1998 G16 in great condition for my work. The only thing that needs attention is the accelerator pedal. If I move the pedal just a very little bit the golf cart takes off. It is very hard to drive it slow. Could someone please tell me if there is an adjustment on the pedal side to help this problem? Thanks JON

I believe you can adjust the micro switch under the gas pedal.

Loose up the cable under the pedal if that doesn't fix, adjust the cable from the governor to the carb at the governor.

I figured it out. Thanks everyone for your advice. It was actually the carb. It was stuck wide open. Not sure what hung up the lever but I freed it up and it works and operates great.
