Default Team and FBT clutch differences on G29

I have a 07 which has the Team clutch til 2012.5. Then changes to a Fbt clutch. Heard they were updated or what not. I have a horribly worn Team and a buddy bought a plowmans kit and he gave me his decent shape clutches off his 2013. I dont have the primary off yet but the secondaries are way different size. The newer is much smaller. Is the newer primary a touch bigger?! Seems as that clutch setup would yield a faster top speed but lose of torque? Is that Fbt clutch and a severe duty belt for the 12.5+ be a better setup (anything has to be better) til I can afford a plowmans over winter?

His new setup came with a team primary and the newer secondary. Does he mix and match to get all that top speed?

I like the FBT better, but like you said, just about anything is better than a worn out team clutch. I recommend not mixing the two clutches, my biggest reason is the belts are totally different, different length and width.

Just making sure I'm not going to be losing to much low end going with a smaller secondary! I will be getting a Gboost severe duty belt and upgrade the spring as well. Not to worried about more then 18ish mph as long as it moves alright and can pull smaller hills better then it does now.

heres my current secondary, Primary is pretty wavy too.

I've never noticed a difference in torque, but we build few lifted carts with real big tires.
