G1 Steering Box
Can the steering gear box on a G1 be loosened and then lifted up about an inch? In order to set the steering wheel a little higher.

Re: G1 Steering Box
I think you can do this. You will be raising the idler arm which will change the angle of your tie rods, as long as you have enough adjustment left it should work.

Re: G1 Steering Box
Thank you Ron I am going to try that, as I think I told you one other time I am a big guy and the seat cant be moved back any on a G1 due to the body is about 3 inches higher towards the rear. But I am cutting down a seat bottom and making it a little lower.
Thanks again Ron and have a good day. Calvin |

Re: G1 Steering Box
Glad to help when I can! You could also look for a smaller diameter steering wheel.
