G16 has started making a funny noise when the engine stops

When the g16 engine stops sometimes immediately sometimes a few seconds later there is a sound of escaping gas sort of light air brakes venting but not that loud. I would not call it a backfire but it's the sound of escaping gas not very loud loud enough to hear but not tremendously loud. Any idea what that could be ?

Gas tank venting? Loosen the cap a little and drive around and see if noise is gone

Is there any sign of oil/dirt around the plastic air shrouding covering the head/cylinder?

I should have mentioned it sounds like it is coming out the exhaust.

It's a sigh of relief from the cart. Its saying "thank goodness we've FINALLY stopped. It's hot out here, go walk yourself or take a bus next time. All these twinkies and McDonalds you keep eating just arent working for me."

I'd bet it's either coincidence and you've stopped in the middle of a compression stroke and the compression is equalizing, or possibly PCV valve not venting like it should. First thing youd need to do is positively verify exactly where its coming from.
