I would look for a fuel leak first. They can get a lot of blowby when worn, usually you will see oil puking out into the airbox or pull that hose it will puff out smoke when its hot. That stuff really stinks if its not going into the airbox.

none of that going on Sho... I just got home from a drive and even my neighbor commented on how pungent my arrival was. Should i take the exhaust off and check it out? Is it known to become blocked? Could it be a gas pump issue? I do have to choke her up pretty good to even get warm and running right.
(thanks for the reply sho)
but man i am like a big stink bomb when i stop after heating up from a ride.

Is the correct vent on top of the tank in place, is it the correct gas cap? The vent and cap actually work as a team, one allows a little air in as the tank empties, the other lets just a little vapor out as the fuel heats up and expands. They both are regulated to minimize fuel loss if the whole thing goes inverted.

And the correct gas cap? Here's an example of the correct one.

If this stuff is correct, what is your approximate altitude?

yes cg the gas cap is all the original stuff. I am in Georgia and not sure about my altitude. Do you think I should probe up the back side of the exhaust pipe? Maybe it has a build up or blockage? It gets really hot too which may further indicate a restriction in release somewhere.

G2 can get hot because they put a guard on the bottom of some that closed much of it in, a G9 is all open on the bottom under engine/cradle/etc.

They can get hot because the ignitor is bad and running too much timing advance.

They can get hot because airbox leaks making it lean.

They can get hot when they are worn out, not sure why maybe loss of compression but carts with lot of blowby do seem to run hotter.

Still not sure how that would cause gas fumes, they are coming from something. Check the filter for leaks, it screws into the bottom of the tank and the hose goes to it, under the fuel pump area.

Could maybe be carb float issue, not sure, that usually makes for poor running.
