speed kit
In installing the spring on secondary, I compressed spring in vice, using safety wire, I twisted wire to keep spring compressed. Then reinstalled parts without having to use ratchet strap. Just cut and remove wire.

Re: speed kit
I just installed mine yesterday and didn't think it was hard at all. The ratchet strap was super easy and it ook like ten minutes or so. Were you able to get all of the wire out when it was all tightened down?

Re: speed kit
Nice job on the teardown Dont forget the "trim plates" and the "plastic side rail covers" and "rear inner fenders" and you'll be ready for whatever you have planned for frame dress up/paint/powdrecoat. What are your future plans? I'l be whatching. Dave

Re: speed kit
Yes ,depending where you put the wire, it came out pretty easy...the rest of the plastic is off, refabed a new battery case , and off to powdercoating. Body is at the shop getting 08 silverado greystone mettalic. Also 6" lift, 23" tires.Have replaced all rubber components as well as all bushings and sleeves. Thanks !!
