You need the spring for one of the clutches. Also a new belt wouldn't hurt. Check the clutches for wear also.

Edit: I see you put on new belts.

The clutches seem to be in pretty good shape. Would a electric fuel pump with bigger jets for more fuel increase power?

Clutch mods are one good place to gain speed and power. The stock pulse type is the way to go. Good luck.

If you are looking for more than a small increase in power, the G 2-14 engine just doesn't have much available for it. To get any real increase in performance from these carts an engine swap is needed. The good news is they are very sturdy carts with plenty of engine swap options.

What’s the best engine swap to keep reverse as well welding new mounts would be no issue

You can go from an econo clone swap for less than $700 up to a B&S vanguard as well as everything in between depending on you budget and fab skills. I would suggest looking at Vegascarts and CPP sites for some ideas as well as reading the big block section here on BGW to learn what is done and how.

If you have a 4-cycle engine then any swap would me reverse because it's in the trans. If you have a 2-cycle engine then you need to swap the trans to keep reverse.

Reverse is built into the transmission which is built into the rear axle.

So, any motor you want to put in there, swap away! Just picked up a G2 myself for cheap. Deciding now if I want to swap in a 420 or put the original engine back in
