G1 Wobble
So it feels like it’s coming from the front right - but might be the rear. But I do not feel it in the steering wheel.
Basically it’s a rocking back and forth. There’s not a sound, but if I had to put a sound to it, I would it it’s like a “womp, womp, womp” wobbling as opposed to a shaking rattle. I’m going to try swapping the wheels around to see if that has an effect on it (flat spot on tire?) but figured I would post up to see if there is any precedent and if anyone's solved a similar issue. (Worn our suspension etc.) Thanks! |

Re: G1 Wobble
On a car this would probably be tires.

Re: G1 Wobble
Alright. Going to move the tires around tomorrow and see if the wobble moves.
If so, local shop sells new take offs for $25. Should hold me over until the wife allows for the lift, wheels and tires haha |

You could need new kingpins and bushings. As they get old, like our G-1s, the bushings will start to wear. Just replaced 'em on one of mine, and it's not too hard to do. Ogre |

Re: G1 Wobble
Swapped with some take off 8” wheels and tires from a local custom cart shop. Can’t say they are new but they don’t have the noticeable bulge I saw in 2 of my tires.
Definitely smoother ride, if not a bit bouncy still. Wondering if I would benefit from new suspension.... not overly expensive. Has anyone replaced their shocks on the front and back? Was it a noticeably better ride? |
