G9 performance clutch...any experience with this?
http://www.cartpartsplus.com/yamaha-...rf-clutch.html
Anyone replaced their G9 clutch with this hi-perf model? It says it's "fully adjustable", just wondered if it made any difference over an original clutch in good working order....always looking for upgrades (besides the big block ). Never tried one of these but it seems like a great clutch. Rated up to 40 hp sounds good too. Not a bad price either. Only about $60 more than a stock one. If I was in the market for a clutch, I would spend the little extra and try it, especially if I had a v-twin.

I'm of the same mindset as everyone else. I bought a new clutch last year so I don't necessarily NEED one, but wouldn't mind trying it out. Just not ready to spend the $$ just yet.
Come on, SOMEBODY fork out the dough and give us some data!! |

Re: G9 performance clutch...any experience with this?
i have a stock rebuilt G2a motor.i put in a heavier spring.wore out a bushing in the rear clutch.cant get just the bushing anymore.had to get the entire moving disc.anyway,my point is,sometimes just a HD spring in the clutch will give you a lot more power.mine was used,25.00 bucks.let us know what you decide.thanks
