They are a good little workhorse, only issue really is the price of OEM parts as aftermarket parts are not readily available as far as i know. At least not in the UK. may be different over the pond. Thats what i would be checking out as the price is right for two of those.

Re: Toro Workman model 07279 serial 313000111
i'd jump all over it if they are both for $500. Worst case you could determine which one was in better shape, and use the other for parts to make one good unit. Best case you could repair both and have 2 units up and running :) Unfortunately you can never take anyone's word for it, and won't know exactly what you've got until you get them home and start assessing what you REALLY just bought.
Absolute worst case, you could part them out and sell whatever good parts are on them on ebay for way more than the $500 you paid for them. parts aren't easy to find for those and the used parts market for those, john deere gators, etc. is much better than the used parts market for golf carts simply because there aren't many aftermarket options. |

Re: Toro Workman model 07279 serial 313000111
ok guys i pulled the trigger on these have both at home now. looks like the splines in the driven clutch is striped. transaxle seems ok.
got one to hit so i think it will run. cant seems to find anything on parts to rebuild the clutch or getting a new center. with splines the only number on the transaxle is ED45AA15 i will shoot a pic of the trans axle and clutch Thanks Ken |

Re: Toro Workman model 07279 serial 313000111
cleaned the carb motor runs like a wild Indian. the only problem seems to be striped internal splines on the clutch. sadly both are striped which is way against the odds unless there is a problem with the design. it is possible that one striped and other was not installed correctly bolt is tight just cant get it off
is there a trick to removing the bolt that hold the driven clutch on |

A strap wrench works well to hold things like that. Or an impact gun.

Re: Toro Workman model 07279 serial 313000111
well got the clutch off ( thanks for the advice CP241 and sformal)
and both clutch splines are striped, which is really odd. anyway they are a TEAM roller clutch with markings 240519 and 240520 on the two halves. the sheaves look in really good shape. does anybody out there know any about Team clutches the center looks pressed in not sure if it can be replaced. not sure how to even look a new clutch up or where to start Ken |
