Default Hours per round

I am going to look at a 2017 Drive2 Quietech. Based on pics it appears to be in above average condition.

My question is about hours. It has 130hrs. I did not think that was a lot. Others say that is a lot for a 2017. I did not ask if it was used on the street or on the course.

Thoughts on hours? What price have quietech been selling for? This is the version with headlights.

That doesn’t sound like a lot of hours to me... even for a 2017. Hard to say though. I’ve never actually owned a Quietech model, but they look very nice.

I have never had a quietech either. These are what I have now. My wife says I don’t need 3 carts! Love the Sun classic but not running the best now, needs a carb clean I think. The g2 does not get used a lot but is trusty and runs great when needed.

I came across the quietech for $5000. It is a $8000 cart new. Seems like a good deal at 5000

How funny- you have a Sun Classic. A G5 as wel. Very nice! Are you out west? I know they’re much more common over there...

The G5 started in Nebraska at an implement dealer. The owner used it around the lot. Then sold to South Dakota used on the course. I then bought it in SD and used it on the course there for 3yrs. Now it is back in Nebraska after we moved here a few years ago.

We now live on a course and golf a lot more. That is the reason for the quietech.
I would end up selling the G2 at some point. The Sun Classic is to much of an attention getter to get rid of. It is a fun cart.

Probably a stupid question, but does the hour meter run the whole time the key is left on (like a tractor) or only when the motor is running?

I am assuming only when it is running but I do not know for sure.
Good question though.

when I look at used SxS I figure a 50 hr per year for a home owner. any thing over , means to me it was used a lot/commercially. less then that means it was babied. just my .02

I don't think 130 hours on a 2 year old cart is a big deal at all. it's just getting broken in!

When I'm looking at Sxs, ATV's and stuff, I always compare the mileage to the hours. Folks here rid a lot of heavy mud and water and mess them up pretty bad, then sell it off before anything major breaks because it's just at that tipping point where it's starting to go south. If you see a bike with 300 hours but only 600-700 miles on it, you know they've spent a lot of that life creeping through mud holes and ponds. If you see a bike with 300 hours but 4500 miles, that's averaging 15mph so that's a lot of dirt road riding, farm use, etc. I'll take that 4500 mile bike in a heartbeat over the 700 mile one.

Good question though.
If it was used on a course (or maybe elsewhere) and the meter runs with the key on, that motor may have very few actual miles/hours run time on it.
