G9 reverse doesn't work
Does anyone know how to take apart the tranny and see why the reverse doesn't work? We already took off the linkages and the tranny won't go into reverse. The bar moves on the tranny as much as my other G9 in the barn.

Re: G9 reverse doesn't work
Most of them you have to remove the transaxle, which is easy in a cart compared to working on a car. Then you clean it and drain it, then you split it in half to get it apart. I often put one wheel on and stand it on that wheel to split it. You take all the stuff off it, take the bolts out all around the center seam, then carefully pull it apart or jar it with a rubber mallet, etc. Keep the mating surfaces perfect so it seals back up later. Most of the gears have bearings in the case that slip fit in, don't lose anything do it in a clean area not outside, etc.
