Default Is it Seized? 2004 (G21-A) Swap or Possibly Fix?

I could use some help from the expertise of the forum.

I recently purchased a 2004 G21-A (G21AZ) with a JR6-122xxx motor that someone had run out of oil but the flywheel would spin and seemed to have compression. I added oil to the motor did a quick clean job to the carb and got the motor to fire. It ran rough for about a minute and quit. Now the flywheel is locked moving forward but I am able to rotate the flywheel clockwise. Do you think the motor completely seized?

My plan when buying the cart was to drop in a JR3-030xxx motor I have from an old 2000 G20 I used to have.
The engine footprint and electrical connections looks exactly the same but the displacements are different.
Will it work to just do a straight swap?
Will I need to modify any of the wiring for the older JR3 motor?

I would like to salvage the existing motor if possible (I'm just hoping someone has a magic fix) but will probably just swap it out for the JR3.
Either way not a bad buy for $400.

See attached pictures.

Thanks!

It should be a direct swap. The oil light connection may be different.

Thanks Dave.

On a side note anybody know where I could get rear body panels for this cart (G21-A).

No problem. Good luck on the body parts.

If It moves clockwise I doubt it is completely seized. Why not pull it out and take a look inside ?

Thanks Raydhd,

I was hoping someone had a magic solution...

I pulled out the motor last night and will be pulling it apart soon.

The "magic solution" was keeping oil in it in the first place.

Cgtech,

Aint' that the truth.
As unlikely as it is, a man can still dream that a $400 buy off Craigslist may actually run.

I've bought several carts under $500 that ran with little to no work. Most recently a G2 I got for $200. Or an ezgo txt I got for $500. Or many others... Both of those carts I had running well with less than an hour of work. Personally, I find it disappointing thing when that happens. Kills all the fun in finding out what's wrong but I'm a little weird maybe
