Default Yamaha or EZGO

I know this is a Yamaha thread, but I'm looking for some honest advice. I currently have a 2016 EZGO 48V RXV, but due to how much thew cart is driven, i'm thinking of switching to a gas cart simply for the longer run time. I've looked at Yamaha and EZGO gas carts online. In my area we only have a Yamaha dealer, so that's all I've been able to drive. I'll be buying a new cart, so my question is; which cart is better? Thanks in advance!

The Yamaha name speaks for itself. Both are good but in your case if you don't have a Ezgo dealer near then I think I would buy the Yamaha. You buying a new cart ?

Yes, looking at buying new cart since the electric cart has a limitation of about an hour and forty-five minutes of run time. My 13 year old and her friends run it down so quickly, i'm looking at gas to solve the problem. I want new though, due to the new quieter engines.

There's an EZGO dealer about an hour away, but the Yamaha dealer is in the same city.

Maybe this'll help ya out....
We are a Yamaha, and a Ezgo dealer. We dont even stock gas ezgos, the yamaha is that much better.
The gas ezgo is about 4x louder, and a "clanging, banging, rattling pile".

I would trade-off 2 gas ezgo to get 1 gas yamaha.

Guess I can’t add anything to that - class dismissed.

Thanks CG!! Ok, now to the next question...when did the quieter engines come a long? The dealer is offering a "deal" on a 2017 new, never been used, model but they only demo the 2020 models. Apparently this dealer, that has a good reputation, got a hold of some 2017s from another dealer and is trying to sell them for about $7,500 w/ a rear seat, 3" lift, deluxe light kit and front brush guard. Your thoughts???

Drive2 was first with Quietech (its actually a bunch of seals, noise padding, and baffles to isolate you from the noise)

I own a 2016 and it isn't the new quiet tech but it is still quieter than the EZs and much smoother. I don't like that new Kawasaki. $7500 sounds a bit steep IMO.. Where are you located ?
