Default thinking of buying 85 gas. help????

I am looking at a 1985 yamaha gas for $200 it does not run but does turn over think it would be a good deal? Also I dont know if it a g1 or g2 what are the differences in the motors in the g1 and g2 gas and oil mix, oil injected? What size motors?

The G1 I believe are all 2 stroke and the G2 are 4 stroke.

welcome to BGW.my 1990m g2 has a stock 250cc 4 stroke .not sure about the size of the g1.you should get the serial number and that will tell.

Would $200 be a good deal for ether of them? I am hoping it is a g2 I would rather have a 4 stroke. Thanks for the help I figured being that old both the g1 and g2 would have 2 strokes.
