Yamaha drive lift
I’m sure there is another post regarding this. What is the best 6” lift for the drive.
I’ve been leaning toward the madjax but not sure. Any opinions would be appreciated Thanks |

Re: Yamaha drive lift
any reason you want a 6" lift in particular?
On my yamaha drive, I have this lift: https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/j...kit-fits-2007/ Its a great lift, I can fit 22" tires under it and its a simple bolt on. Ive driven golf carts with 6 inch lifts, and they felt very tippy/unstable. Unless you want a 6" for a particular reason, This lift on my cart is just about perfect. Still very stable, but gets you the clearance for big tires |

Re: Yamaha drive lift
im worried about clearance for the rear seat when i put it in the back of my truck. i have a 2017 f-350 and when i tried to bring it up ramps stock height the rear foor deck rubs on the ground im just not sure 3" will be enough. i value you everyones input as this is my first cart. thank you. Stegs

Re: Yamaha drive lift
Hard to beat a 3" lift for these carts. remember that the g29/drive carts sit a touch higher to most, so a 3 inch lift is going to give you more height than expected.
That lift i sent you, can fit 22" tires. Most carts need a bigger lift to get that same size lift with bigger tires, probably good to go. A 6" lift would just be tippy and unstable. I think after a while you will regret it..... |

Re: Yamaha drive lift
After completing a few 6" lifts made by SGC, steeling golf cart company, for the Yamaha Drive. I have found the kits to be a bit excessive, you can easily clear 23" tires, maybe even larger. Regardless of what lift you install, I highly suggest upgrading to heavy duty rear springs if the cart has rear seat. Here is a quick break down, hope it helps.
6" SGC Pros: Sexy Semi-Stable Maintains coilover design Clears 23" Cons" Kit tolerances are not accurate (it can be a pain to put on) Barely fits in the garage on 23"s 3" Jake's Spindle Pros: Stable Clears 22"s Tolerances are in check Cons: Not as sexy as the 6" Hope this helps. |

Re: Yamaha drive lift
I thought the problem was dragging while loading in truck, not "I want bigger tires". Thought of putting a strip of "sacrificial plastic" like "taco board" at the trailing edge of the platform?. Considered the yamaha oem 2" lift on it? (It keeps suspension/ride like stock).
Easy bolt on, no bs with spindles, no bs "transverse leaf spring garbage". |

Yamaha drive lift
I have a RHOX 6” in spindle lift and 23” tires on my G29. I don’t ever get the feeling it’s unstable. If you did get that feeling it would most likely be at top speed. If you plan on hauling booty most of the time then a 3” might be a better option. But if you’re just cruising then 6” shouldn’t give you any issue. And like a previous post said, 6” and 23” is a “sexy” combo. Ha.
As far as clearance for putting in back of truck just extend your ramps a little with some 2x8 boards or something along those lines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
