Oil smell from my G14
Took it out around the block and could smell oil. Not sure if it's blow-by or if it's being burned and coming out of the exhaust. I had to add just a very little bit of oil to top it off when I got it out of storage. I made sure it's not overfull. I haven't change it yet for the season so I don't no if that would help or not. So what's it take to go through the motor like this or should I say, what needs to be done to it? What am I looking to spend on a overhaul?
Thanks, boxcar |

Re: Oil smell from my G14
sometimes the Yamaha dipsticks give the wrong reading on the dipstick.on my Yammi it only takes one quart and i kept filling it to the mark on the dipstick, which was wrong.just kept filling my airbox and smelling oil.i dont know which cart you have or what motor?i would change the oil every new season.age breaks it down.
