g16 problems after lift
Now that i have lifted my cart 6 inches, you hit the has and it engages and goes into drive right away spinning the tires. Also when i will be riding along slowly on trails the solenoid will click on and off quickly when going slow. I adjusted the cables all around but that does not appear to have anything to do with it.
My other problem is shock travel or lack there of. Its a jakes 6" kit, I have no travel in the shocks i have 23x10.5x12 tires and the ride is much ruffer then when it was at stock height on stock wheels even at low speed. I can stand on the front jump up and down and there is no travel. The tires are the only thing absorbing, are the shocks bad possibly. Can i put air shocks from a car on this thing? Help is appreciated. Thanks |

Re: g16 problems after lift
The solenoid your hearing may just be the pedal switch engaging and disengaging the solenoid and starter/generator. G16's are really bad about doing this at very slow (creeping) speed. It will happen when barely pushing on the pedal. If this is what your talking about.
For the shock travel make sure you didn't overtighten the bolts that go to the a-arms (center area of cart). If they are too tight, it will lock them in place where they will not travel at all. |

Re: g16 problems after lift
I drilled the holes a little bit bigger on my foot switch and adjusted it some. And it helped it a lot. if you drill it out some when you put it back use washers on the top. The idea is to make the swich further away.

Yeah that's my problem the pedal switch i think. Ill check for shock bind, that's another thing the rear shocks are bound pretty much they tilt so much from the tower bar. Should i bend the ears at an angle on the tower bar? |

I'm not really able to picture what your saying. Because the switch is just bolted down what holes do you drill out? Have a pic?
