Default Bigger tires with stock rims and ride height?

Hey guys, I have a G16a with the regular 18/8.5/8 tires on them. I'm looking for a little bit more ground clearance with some knobbier tires. How big can I go on stock rims without a lift and not rub?

You really can't go any larger in tire size on stock rims because the stock rim offset is not the right offset. your best bet is to bit the bullet and buy some sort of lift kit that fits your wants

I think you can to up to a 20" tire, that's about it.

Well, just in case someone searches in the future:

I'm running 18-9.5-8 ATV tires in the rear and a set of utility 18.5-8.5-8's in the front. Gives the cart good bite in the dirt/gravel and a little extra ground clearance without a lift. I did have to trim about a 1/4" off of the rear frame to clearance the tires...

If you buy rims with more offset, you wont have that problem. That is some money.
You can also buy 1" wheel spacers to push them out a little. That works well.
If you get too wide you get the mud...........

I am running 20" all-trails on my G8. All I needed to do was cut some of the inner fender.

you could run 20" tires but will have to do some trimming
