fair price for custom '03 yamaha (gas)?

future cart addict just trying to get into the game and just don't want to overpay...

i've been researching & lurking in these forums for a while now and just looking for the right cart. we live near the beach w/ 2 young kids and looking for a beach taxi for mom & a toy for dad. will mostly be on road w/ some beach duty. we are in VA Beach if that makes a difference in price...

the cart i found is a custom gas '03 yamaha (professionally done):
-nice paint
-jake's lift kit
-chrome rims w/ nobby off-roads
-fold down rear seat
-nerf bars
-looks to be in GREAT shape

i thought about going the project cart route but realistically don't have the time. this cart needs minimal work (just lights & some asthetics).

thank you in advance for your advice and any other watchouts before purchasing. it is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to BGW. Sounds like you've found a really nice cart. If you get it, be sure to post a picture of it. Most carts like what you've described go for around $4500 to $5000 here in middle TN.

the cart is a little more than i wanted to spend but based on your info, might actually be a good deal.

if i am able pull the trigger, then i will definitely post pics like a proud new poppa should...

What is the price of the cart if you don't mind us asking? You can figure it up: probably around $2000 for a good 03 Yamaha stock cart and then start adding up accessories from the dealers plus custom paint.

they are asking about $4k and claim to have over $5k in it.

i will try and add up the features as you suggest. not a bad idea now that i have a baseline price.

Under 4 sounds like a good deal with what you have described. Will they offer any kind of warrantee since it is a dealer? Or is it an individual selling?

individual - but i will ask if there is a transferrable warranty. they said they got it from a professional shop last year.

a little off topic but another decision point for me...do you have any thoughts on gas vs. electric?
