G16 2002 gas gear problem
Well im afraid to say it i think this gear thing has beat my butt. I finally got the axle out and the gears lose ready to pull off pulled the bearings off the sides of the gears and there is a rod right behind the rear end that will not allow the gears to come out i have turned it side ways and all around and can not get them out thought about cutting it but didnt want to harm anything it is welded on both sides so i guess i will let someone else put them in does anyone know what purpose the rod serves it is right behind the rear end then the is another bar behind it that looks important im lost on this job anyone know a good person to put these in for me in north alabama

You can cut the rod with no problems.
