Angry Bent frame on a G9

Bent the frame and looking for advice on how to fixt it. Hit an immovable object and pushed the front passenger corneer back about 1/2" and attempted to pull it out but the tube has a significant kink in it. I want to cut it and replace. Looking for some guidance on the the measurements and things to be concerned about for alignment and suspension geometry. Would like to work on this crash respair this weekend.

I know how you feel. Kids bent the frame on my G9 a couple of years ago. Mine was non repairable. Pushed the entire front bumper area into the wheel well and buckled the side. Get us a pic and we can help give you some ideas. You'll need a good welder too. If the tube area is kinked, you have to cut that section out.

We would kinda need pics to do anything other than just be guessing at it, or at least I would.

Anything can be straightened with enough come-a-longs and a torch.

If the frame is kinked, more than likely it is compromised and that section will have to be cut out and replaced if possible for safety purposes. We will need pic's.

The tube is steel and I have tried to pull it in without the use of heat. I do believe the frame is in need of a donor portion or a newly fabbed portion. What type of steel would be required to do the job with sufficient strength and where could I get some of it. Pictures will follow tonight. I have the front end and the rest of the cart stripped down as I thought as long as I was going to do this work, I should spruce it up a bit. Be back soon with Pictures

Here are a couple pics of what we had to do to fix my frame. Remember, measure 4 or 5 times, cut ONCE! We used an ordinary ratchet tie down to bring the frame to within the right measurements. It is an EZGO frame, but tha same principles should apply. In the second third and fourth pics there is a piece of steel that is a weld surface for both the upright and the frame rail. Get someone who is good with a grinder and cutting wheel to do this...i had to!!!

We had to fix a kinked front upright, and the passenger side frame rail was bent as well.
