Default New to me G1, G2 or G16 front clip swap?

Hello All,
Last week I picked up this sweet little G1, its our first golf cart and the family has driven it non stop since we got it. IMHO the G1 has got to be the ugliest cart made, so I called around to our local Golf Cart shops in search of a new front clip. I found an awesome shop & shop owner who advised that they had a few G2 clips in their junk pile. Once I arrived I found that they had a couple of g16 clips as well- - the owner said I could take both for the same price. So, what do you guys think - G2 or G16? ? ? The G16 looks like it might be a bit easier. Anyone have any experience with this type of swap, any threads you can point me to? Thanks in advance!

I agree with you about the looks of a stock G1. I too have one and that front cowl has to go. I checked around here for a decent used G16 cowl and could not locate one. I ended up picking up a nice Club Car cowl that I will soon install and fabricate a dash for.

Check out our for sale section here, you may find the piece you need.

I also hate the front of the G1, my avatar pic is a jeep body I'm building for my G1.

This forum is great, my wife and kids had been putting around in it for several days and it started smokin- oh crap.. I did some searching here on buggies gone wild and read about the muffler plugging up with oil.. I ran it hard about 20mnts, killed every mosquito within 5 miles and she's good to go.
