Default G22 mods w/ pictures

Hey everyone, I've only had my 2006 G22 for a week and 1/2 or so and it is addicting. I am either turning wrenches or on BGW forum. There is alot of good info here and I hope I can contribute alittle more.

First few pictures are inside of OEM muffler. I couldn't find pics so I took some myself. I didn't gut mine, but rather opened up the restrictive holes in bafflres and made a larger diameter tail pipe. And welded it back together. It wasn't very much louder at all.

I rejetted the carb with a #128 from Dyno Jet kit. I installed the pod filter using plunbing supplies from Home Depot. The intake runner that the air box bolted to, I cut off the 3 bolt triangular flange and used a 1 1/4"X1 1/2" drain connector as a "poor man's" flex connector. The rest is DWV pipe. I have finished a bracket to hold filter yet.

These are NOTICABLE seat of your pants power gains. My jetting is way off but you can still feel a difference. I will let you know after I tweak the carb alittle. I also bypassed governor and have torque kit.

Lastly, I installed the Equus 8068 tach and installed the new HD rear springs from Jake's. The springs get an A+++ Jake's know their stuff and the guy who I talked to was very cool guy. So with Jake's 6" lift and if you have a rear seat, these springs are a must for $100.

Let me know what you all think. I have a few more picture if anyone is interested. My next project is custom roll cage. Anyone have any thoughts??

Very cool work on the muffler and intake. I tell all my customers about Jakes stuff, quality you can count on! Like your "Umax" headlites, for some reason most people go with a different /aftermarket setup. Nice ride!

Thanks for the kind words. The Equus has a cylinder selector button on the back. I couldn't believe it worked on a single cylinder AND came with inductive pickup for $70.
As for the info and pictures, I have a few more of the exhaust mod and I always take pictures of projects and such. I like pictures because it easier to understand, rather than just words. If anyone is interested I will post some more exhaust pictures and I will continually post pictures of my mods and projects. Thanks again guys.
