Default Exhaust mod w/ pictures

Here are a few more pictures of my exhaust mod. All I did was cut it, pull it apart and drill the exhaust passages(holes) in the baffles and interior section of the inlet tube bigger. I opened mine and surprised to see the top baffle bent. I also welded on a larger tail pipe. I am cheap and I try to use what I have around the shop(if possible) and 1" electrical conduit was what I had. No laughing it seems to work pretty good. You can see in last picture the conduit and the fact that it hangs to low. I have to fix that still. My camera's battery went dead so I don't have any pictures of the holes in the baffles after I drilled them. I just used a stepped drill bit and opened up some of the restriction. The sound is definately different than stock, but the volume level isn't much if any different.
**NOTE, remember your muffler is not is not going to look good when you're done. You are going to have a Frankenstein exhaust until you weld the cover/guard back on the muffler. No one will ever know what it really looks like. Next time I pull mine off I will post a picture. But once its installed you would never know the exhaust was touched.

Sabercat, I like the way it looks. What size tail pipe is that? Was it much louder? I'm still kicking around other ideas. I've "gutted or cored" exhaust for motorcycles, but this was my first cart. I want to find a good compromise between performance and sound level. I'm still working on the jetting for mine. My best is 21mph (measured on GPS) and I'm confident it has alittle left once the jetting is correct.

its 2'' tube but were it is welded to the muff there is only an extra 1'' hole in the casing and a 1/2'' hole in the last baffle i could reach, its a bit noisy with the rear plasic off but when its on (after i paint it,) it's not too loud.
