Question anyone ever make a-arms longer?

Wondering if anyone into fab or somehow made a-arms longer so wheels would stick almost all the way out. How hard was it. I'm thinking about doing this for 2 reasons, tire rubbing problems, and would have more base on ground so it would be harder to flip and would have more fun drifting

I considered it but if you use stock shocks it may not work well due to changing the leverage on the shock. However if I lifted one again I would move the pivots apart maybe 1-2" a side from stock. Longer would be better, if you came up with a shock or moved the mount/etc. I didn't have time to figure it out when I made my own lifts, what I did served the purpose. I would also make the steering a little faster lock to lock. I did that and it worked well, but the bracket was not quite right and I took it back off...never got around to changing it to work right.

Ahhh, drifting. Reminds me of the days when I had my modded G1. It would really drift well with those stock tires on near anything but pavement of course. I used to drift the whole length of a 600 yard fairway from one side to the other in the AM with all the dew, was a total blast! Gravel driveway around this building we had, I could drift all the way around it nonstop. Those tires would not tear things up so I could get away with it, especially at night when the golfers all went home and I had 100s of acres to tear around on and dodge sprinklers. Yeah, I was really spoiled and that thing would really scream...and we were crazy. Set up a ramp one day and jumped another cart, it was awesome.

My first cart was a G1 one too. Only upgraded one level though haha. I'm really thinking about getting some long travel arms but I gotta either save money or find them cheap.
