I've not done a G16, but G2/9 you can take a 10mm small ratchet and get the bowl off right on the cart, take the jet out too. You may want to pull the carb the first time even if you can, so you can see what is going on in there and what is where.

Been a while since I worked on a G16 carb, but there is a bowl on bottom of carb you just take the center bolt out and it comes off. The float is in there. In the middle is the main jet that often comes out with a flat screwdriver. I'd take the carb out first if you are going to mess with it, they are often in there tight and you need to make sure you don't strip them. I filed my jet out to jet mine, so I took it out on the cart half a dozen times to get it right. Have to be careful of the seal on the bowl and that stuff.

So if I remove the bowl, will it be able to just be removed and pop and replace jet, I understand about what you are saying but if I can just replace jet thats what I would rather do,
What do you mean filed - it didnt just pop out or unscrew
the float is one piece and will remain attached correct?

Most all small engines are the same, the bolt holds the cup on and the jet is in that bolt or up inside the same hole. Most the jet screws up in there and they put them in tight, most all are brass. But if you are not familiar with it and can't see I'd say take it off the cart. You can even leave the cable on as you just need to get it upside down to see what you are doing. Screw the jet out and put the new in, re assemble and you are done if you have a new jet. I enlarged mine to get it right, back in '99 when I tore off half the airbox. It will need jetting if you mess with the airbox at all.

So simple put just unbolt the carb (2 Bolts) flip it and remove jet and
screw in new one? It wont have to be filed will it? just screw in new one and
put bowl back on and reinstall - there should be no adjusting required

Thank You very much for your input

If your new jet is the right size, you don't have to do a thing but swap it with the old one. I didn't know if I could get a new jet or what size back when I did it, so I just re-sized it. There were few if any cart places on the net back then, I got my wheels and tires from a Honda dealer and the Yamaha cart dealer was no help at the time.
