Default yamaha G9 secondary clutch nut removal

Nut to remove secondary sheave seems frozen, does anyone know of a "trick" move to free this nut.

I've used wooden blocks from the frame to the outer sheave but can't keep the shaft from turning as well as the nut. Based upon other forum discussions seems I shouldn't have to have the sheave holder removal tool to get the nut loose but it's my first secondary clutch to have apart so what do I know.

Thanks for your consideration

I used a pipe wrench on the inner on near the trans. Came right off.

three ways to do this.

I clamped a vice grip on the steel sheave to keep it from spinning and used a breaker bar.

could also remove rear tire then drill hole in wheel well plastic and use long extension and impact.

or, remove rear shock bolts and entire drivetrain will drop down allowing access with impact wrench.

Put in gear and lock your brakes, that makes it easier to hold. It should not be that hard to get off, though I've had mine off so many times lol. Don't do things with the sheaves, they will bend or break very easily.
