Default Newbie with 1996 G14

Hello all! I have just been given a 96 g14 about a week ago. Just stumbled on this wonderful site about a few days ago. I live in Maine and have wanted a Ranger type atv but don't have the money for one of them. Now I have found the awesome world of Carting! So...any tips on simple things to do to my cart to get more performance? Prior to finding this site I had already bypassed the gov. I have searched the site all I can. There is way too much info to look through! I am looking forward to being a part of the forum!

welcome to BGW I'm from Maine to some people do some things to get a little more performance out of these little motors. like maybe a jet kit and K&N filter and clutch kits. and maybe open the exhaust up a little. but you can only go so far on the little motor then its time to move on and buy a BIG BLOCK

Where from Maine? I just want a little more top end speed. Don't care about low end just yet. What can do to the clutch to get some? I have to go a little faster down the road. Had it for two days and a Warden pulled me over!! Just took little one to get mail at end of driveway, went up road 100 feet, and there he was. He only said put a helmet on her, which I should have.

Around 20. May go a little better but I hate to over rev it. What are the biggest tires I can put on it without a lift?

OK. Just went for a ride. Now I understand the need for a lift...
