Govenor took a dump
Today I was riding my old 81 G1 had my dog on board and we were riding down a old road and all of a sudden nothing. I tried to start it and it just turned over, so I lifted the seat and to find out the govenor just snapped off. Had it towed home and built this bracket and run the throttle linkage direct to the carb. But when taking another ride it still acts like the govenor is still hooked up, can someone tell me whats going on? I thought for sure I would at least see some more speed or something but nothing. Here is a couple pics of what I made and hooked up.
