Default G1 gets fuel and is firing

My g1 was run great. Yesterday it just stopped and would not start back. I check all fuel lines. It is getting fuel. The carb has been clean. The fuel pump has been clean. The fuel filter has been changed. The spark plug is firing. However, when i try to start it, it just turns over. I can spray starter fluid in choke and nothing. When I remove the spark plug it is wet and is still firing when tested. Anyone have any other ideas?

How fast is it turning over? Does it try to move?

It has a brand new battery. It does not try to move at all.

It is turning fast enough to start it. The belt to the starter and egine turn. The other belt to the axle does not move. I do not think the belt is slipping. If it was slipping it smoke. Also if I disconnect the battery while trying to start it stops. If the belt was slipping it should continue to run.

( If the belt was slipping it should continue to run.) we aren't on the same page with that but ok,
I don't say check the compresion first off but I think you are at that point. and again does the pipe right out of the engine feel at all warm.

I am sorry. Maybe I did not explain the belts very well. The starter belt is turning over the engine. There is a separate belt that turns the wheels. That one does not move. I have never done a compression test. How would I do it? What would cause the compression loose that quick?

The exhaust does get hot at all. I also check the compression and it was about 25psi.

Do a search on compression check, you may have broke a seal or a rod. I am puzzeled by the fact you have spark and it won't fire on the choke cleaner. Does the throttle plate move with the pedal choke plate move?

Okay here is the latest. The exhaust does get hot but only after about a minute. The spark plug is firing very well. However, it will not start reguardless of fuel or starter fluid. Check the compression at about 25 psi. From what I read it should be around 125psi or so. It is also getting penty of fuel.

What could cause the compression drop like that without any signs (no smoke, knocking or power loss, just stopped)? Is my next step to pull the engine? (not what I am wanting to hear).
