What kind of gas for 86 g1
I was told to use the high octane gas (for older engines) in my cart. Is this good advice to do? What makes the high octane better than the regular gas?

Same here also and I have 2 G1's, only difference I have is I mix my gas and oil. Never a problem.

IIRC G1 has 6:1 compression, so you could run 86 octane or whatever that substandard stuff is....was done so GC could use cheap fuel. I had one with a cut head and bumped timing and it still ran fine on regular. If there were one it would be the G2 it has the highest compression, but pretty sure it still runs on regular.
