Default Hello and Trans input shaft ????

Hello , I recently bought a G9 that needs a little work. The threads on the transmission input shaft are broke off. I want to try welding some more threads on it . Do I need left or right hand threads ?

I will post pics. My wife has been telling me for about the last 3 or 4 years she wanted a golf cart. One day surfing cl like I always do ,I ran across a g9 for 250. I asked the guy if he would take 200 paypal and he agreed I fugured I could always swap a motor in if I had to. Got it home and it did not have any compression , ( stuck valve). I have had it running but need to build a muffler, get an air cleaner and re-jet it. i thought my brother in law still had his Yamaha when I bought it but he sold it a while back , probably for little of nothing.

Wow, I must admit I've never seen that tried. That "torque spring" you have is pretty stiff, but it looks like your weld is real solid from the picture. Way to go
