Clicks but starter doesnt fire
Hello All, This is my first post, and I am posting for a friend. I have an 48V Club Car so the gas stuff is new to me. He has a 1988 G2 which had began to intermittently start but tonight does nothing at all. When you press on the gas peddle, you hear a solenoid actuating but that is all. He said that when he spun the main drive clutch?? it would start again but that no longer works. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Clicks but starter doesnt fire
Do the free and cheap checks first. Make sure the battery is charged/good.
Check all of the cables and connections from the battery through the solenoid to the starter/generator. Don't overlook the ground cables. Then jump the solenoids two large posts, if the motor doesn't spin and since you say it helped to spin the motor some by hand I would lean toward the S/G brushes need to be replaced. |
