afraid to cut my cart for lights
i was so excited, i just received my light kit for my G2. unfortunately, it came with no wiring diagram, and only templates that says tape on the apex and measure 8 1/4 inches from the "m" on the left sid and the "A" on the right side. I assume they are talking about the YAMAHA name ??? The front has a top piece and a lower piece. Do I cut through both and how? I would hate to do it wrong. Parts for a g2 are not easy to come by for a stupid mistake. I just want to make sure they are not just some universal light kit. Can someone help this new kid on the block?

Re: afraid to cut my cart for lights
Looks like you got it down!!! Break out that roto-zip and get to work. The biggest thing as don't go outside the lines, there is not a whole lot of room for error... not to scare you but smaller is always better to start!!!
And I see that is a Strech Plastic kit. You don't need a diagram it is super easy. The only thing that people have trouble on is that the red (male) and the black (female) ends do hook up in the front together, and the round end will hook up to the back of the amber light in the front. You will need to supply (2) 1/4" nuts to hook the round end up. GOOD LUCK!! |

That sounds like the way to do it. Take your time and like he said, cut in the lines. You can fix a too small hole...Good Luck. we want more pictures, with the install
