Default Rear lift with bigger shocks and springs?

I was looking at getting the long travel suspension kit. I am looking at lifting my cart and of course I want the best ride I can get. I know I can improve the front ride but, the back still has the same hard ride. People have told me that the front is what takes all the abuse, but I don't find that to be true. If I run over a large rut in the road then the front will eat up the shock, but the back will still give me a nice pain in the back

I was wondering if there is a way of putting on long travel suspension on the rear. If so can it be done by just replacing the stock shocks and springs with longer ones? Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Scott.

The smack in the under side of you is because the builder has to allow for two riders and two sets of clubs if you want a softer ride you give up some load ability or get into shock technoligy.

They do make some nice long travel rear suspension. It eliminates the old leaf springs ...... that is what is kicking you in the butt.

I have a 97 g16 model, witch is coil over spring on a solid axle. That's why I thought I could just add a longer spring\shock set up on the rear to get the lift and ride. I just wonder if it can be done and if so is there anyone who has done this??

I know people have done what you want to do, I just don't know which shock they used. Some have even used air shocks. No leaf springs on these scottyb.

Shure you get longer shocks to lift it (would just the same as the upper drop braket used on lift kits). You "WILL" need to drop or rework the mounting of the panyard/connector bar when you lift it. Good luck Dave

If you lift a lot you have to consider the engine cradle angle.... (& the engine oil pump pick up point)... You could use the same coil overs and lower the top mount? I dunno ...... I just found out these things dont have leafs
