Default anyone tried plowman's timing key?

hey guys, just wondering if anyone had put one of plowman's 4 degee timing keys in a stock yamaha engine.
Plowman's claims it gives very crisp throttle response and all over better perfomance. (i've also heard it can make engines harder to start.)
thanks.

If all is good and the carb is crisp and the bat and starter are good it will be no problem.
