Default G2 broke on the trail!

Went out riding some trails today and broke the G2.
We went around a corner pretty quick and it stopped going, the engine would still rev. I checked the belts and they were good. I noticed the gear selector was in between Forward and Neutral.
But when I put it back into Forward it didn't have that much power and once it got going it would bounce off the governor.

I figured it has something to do with the clutch. You can hear something rattling around in the clutch when you get off the gas.

Has something like this happened to anyone else?
What do you think is wrong and how would you fix it?
If there are better aftermarket parts I'd rather get them then use the stock parts.

Thanks

Yeah this is what I was thinking too. Do the make some better ones out there? I know some of the guys with 50cc quads were messing with different weights but didn't follow too much into it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll pull it apart next weekend and see what the damage is.

I had the same thing happen on my G9 and it was a weight on the clutch that had broken. I was trying out an Ezgo clutch and it couldn't handle the power of the Yamaha engine. JK.

I got the cover off and found the one of the spider arms was warn down and came off the pin.
I did a few searches and seen it recommend to by a Yamaha kit to replce the spider and I won't need to get the clutch puller tool...Is this correct. The way it looks is I need to pull the spider off and replace the while thing. Heard the yamaha kit is beefier and stronger. Also does anyone know where I can get this Yamaha kit.

Thanks
