A good windshield
what is a good windshield for my g16. i need it to be able to handle alot of bumps and ruts. i tried the one from bu (got it as a gift) and its CRAP. it kept sliding out of the mounts and finally cracked in the bottom corner so its out of the question....
thanks in advance |

Re: A good windshield
I built my own using Plexiglas & a hinge that I glued on with special glue for that purpass
I install a lot of windshield they are always in demand at my shop I try to put as many black retainers at the bottom 2 long one on each side & never drill in one it will automatically crack you could always buy lexan more expensive wont crack but a bit easier to scratch One thing that is important is that your roof brackets are solid & Do not sway from one side to another extensively |

Re: A good windshield
yeah my roof is sturdy, it used to sway when i first got it but i built braces for the front and the back and its really sturdy. i have a peice of bullet proof plexiglass and i can use this but i would have to cut it and its alot of work that maybe dosent have to occur. if you get a chance would you mind posting some upclose pics of your custom windshield so i can get an idea.
thanks for all the help i appreaciate it |
