G16 clutch
those anyone have picture of a G16 clutch apart
removal instruction maintenance procedure ? thanks |

The parts list breakdown can show you the parts. Removal is , remove the cap, remove the bolt, use the same tool for (g1 to g22 primary fixed sheaves), put the assembly in a vise, there is a "special tool" for unscewing the spider, but if you use a propane tourch (to loosen the loctite) and a pipe wrench, unscrew the spider counterclockwise, the spider/rollors/and slides will come off in one unit. Usually only the rollors get flat spots in them. As for maintenance, same reply as late G1's thru G22's, thake the drive belt off, take the cap off, zerk fitting at 12 oclock, 1 maybe 2 shots of grease, push the clutch toward the engine,rotate the zerk fitting to 6 oclock and wipe any excess grease out (only grease on bushings of the floating flange...remember) and reassemble.
