Default How do you check tranny level, please help

I have a g2 and the tranny oil hes been coming out the breather tube for some time now. How do you check for proper level. I have body off it and all i see is one bolt 3 inches from the bottom that might be drain and/or fill hole. If I pull this plug should gear oil come out?? Thanks for help

That bolt (3" from the bottom) is the oil level locator hole. You also have a larger bolt on the bottom for draining. You take out the rubber vent tube when you want to fill it. Maybe a good time to drain and refill with 80/90 weight and start frome square one. The oil should just start trickling out the level hole when its full. Rember that the vent tube should be pointed up, then the tube goes down and is held with the clip on the side of the differntial.

Is the gear oil recommendation from the manual? I ask because Club Car uses 90w gear oill and Ezgo uses 30w motor oil in their gassers?
