Put your volt meter on the battery and take a reading, then put the cart in neutral and run the motor about half throttle and check volts again, post readings.
What kinda of lights and what watts do they draw?

This happens on all my G9's. I really think it the charging system just doesn't have enough charge to keep up with the lights. And I usually use the inexpensive Walmart lights. There has been several posts concerning this problem. I've seen people replace regulators, install expensive batteries, etc... with really no or little change.
