Craigslist combo, will it work
I don't know much about yamaha, but I am getting into the golf cart buisness and need to learn.
I saw this motor on craigslist, and they want $75 for it with no carb. They say all they know about it is it came out of a yamaha. Then I saw a complete cart without a motor for $150 and thought I might be able to buy both and combine them to have a working cart. I would get a carb later, and rebuild the motor if necessary. Can anyone tell from the pictures if the two are compatible. Any help would be appreciated. Robin |

Re: Craigslist combo, will it work
The cart is a G9, engine looks to be a G1. Will not work together, the G9 cart requires a 4 stroke engine and the G1 engine is 2 stroke.

Re: Craigslist combo, will it work
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I may buy the cart anyway, and maybe modify it, putting in a v-twin or something.

Not according to the add, but when I called, he had sold it yesterday, and had not yet removed the add.
