Default G1 help needed

Hi All,
Well after Smallblock450 sent me a pulse and primary coil, My $25 Yammy fired right up and ran like a scalded dog...for a day or two. Now it's acting up again.
When I first start it ,goes just fine, but if I stop it let it shut off and try to go again it has no fire. But if I put it in reverse it will go. If I let it set for a few minutes it will go forward again? It dose this in either direction also. Would this be the relay back next to the cdi box,or the switch under the pedal? I read in the manual that if I disconect the Black/White wires on the pedal switch it should stay running,This also dose not happen. What ya'll think?

Man ...could be alot of things. Do you hear the solenoids "click" every time you push the accelrator ? Does the starter/engine always turn over ? If you want a quick test for the relay...(cut back the wireharness wrapping so you can cut the 2 white wires going into the realy -"leave anough so you can put it back to stock if needed" but connect the 2 white wires togeather-"this will bypass the relay). I've never disconected the Black/White wires at the stop switch- go to the waire harness connections to the CDI, thats were you disconnect if you want to idle. Also very important notes ..#1-only use a NGK-BPHS spark plug! #2-buy yourself a cheap "Dynamic Spark tester" you put one end on the spark plug the other into the spark plug cap and when you turn over the engine you will see the spark in the clear plastic!. I've sean to many people "Damage the CDI" by trying to ground the spark plug. If you have a service manual there "trouble shooting flow chats" that ask whats "the simptom ? EI-dead/goes forward/no reverse ect. Follow these "flow charts and tests(usually with a voltmeter) and you'll eventually find the culprit. (Only flaw-----If the system is intermittent..) PLease be as specific as you can, Car is dead to mean nothing happens, To you it maybe the engine turns over...just wont fire up. Keep us posted. We can't have a "dead" Yamaha on this post. Later Dave

It ran great all day yesterday, not one hickup. I didn't change anything or do anything to it? Weird. I tried disconnecting the black/white wire at the cdi to make it idle and it still just shuts off. I guess I need to take the body off and go completely through the cart. It was neglected to say the least by the previous owner. Thats why I got it for $25 though. I'll keep ya'll posted

Thanks Again

No, they don't. Their rear end is like an electric cart's rear because the engine changes direction when you change "gears."
