golf cart wheels bent in?
My gas yamaha golf cart (g9a) has a suspension problem. I noticed that the tread on the tires were wearing on the outsides instead of in the middle. Thats when I saw that the two front wheels were bent in, like \\ // (the slashes show the way that the wheels are bent). I believed that the shocks were too long, but when i looked up the part number for them it was the exact one on the shocks. i don't know if they are adjustable or what. Does anyone have another idea?

Re: golf cart wheels bent in?
You might check to see if your king pins are worn - a very common Yami problem...
Is the cart lifted? I notice you thing the shocks are too long? Why this assumption? |

Re: golf cart wheels bent in?
a front end alignment might be in order. you want approx 1/8" narrower in the frt than in the rear.

Re: golf cart wheels bent in?
it seems that the shocks ,which are 11 inches from bolt to bolt, pushes the lower swing arm down to where the tire have an extreme camber to where the tires have an angle inward.

Re: golf cart wheels bent in?
Its a Yamaha thing, they sit like that. I think they over built the front and when you are "under loaded" they they sit in positive camber. Rotate the tires front to rear to even the wear.

Re: golf cart wheels bent in?
Like others have said, 1/8" toe in is imparative to good tire wear
