Default i have 3 questions about performance for a g16

looking to mod my stock engine. My neighbor keeps beat me with his ezgo 9hp he tune the govenor and is now running like 45 mph.I am running only 35 mph with 22" tires he has 25" tires .MY clutch is making a a whistling noise .There's a ball bearing bouncing around inside .Does this affect my top speed ?.I am thinking about getting a comet clutch or other mods to my engine to squeeze out extra power.I had Tom rebuild the motor Thursday cpp is only 3 miles down the road .He installed a .25mm piston with new valves and it's running better than when it was new.I dont want a bb kit yet .here's what im looking at

http://www.cartpartsplus.com/yamaha-...rf-clutch.html

http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/golf...TR%20JL%20EZYA

http://www.cartpartsplus.com/yamaha-...e-exhaust.html

or maybe something from here

http://www.plowmanscarts.com/highper.html

how much if any noticeable power would that header+ jet from cpp give me and when i said power i mean (mph) maybe 5 mph or is that to optimistic ?.

or would possi tract work better or would the comet clutch give me what i need ?

What you are probably going to get out of all of this is a blown rebuilt engine.... we are gonna have to change your username to ezgokiller. That engine is not made for racing. Maybe call Tom and ask him what he suggests? He knows more about engines than most of us. And everything about your cart?
Good luck

Posi tract is going to slow you down.
Header and jet will give you some improvements.
I don't believe the primary clutch will give you any speed unless it has been machined.

He says buy a big-block,but if i was going to drop that in my cart it would have to be a 31 hp+.I want a comet with cpp exhaust system maybe to see if i can get a little extra hp.I blew the engine back in august i went over the rpm's with a little mod i learned....Anyway's my golf see's more use on the highway/dirt road than anything a little extra speed would help so i dont have to watch out for cars on these 45 speed limit road.Oh yeah tom or the other people down there built my g-16 .Still breaking in the engine in what not

Talk to Don at plowman's he will guide you in the right direction for speed

The ting is with you neighbor cart is that he is running 25 inches tires on a stock clutch that’s why he gets is 45 mph he probably doesn’t have much low end torque

You can go 65 mph with your cart depends how big of wallet you got ?

i dont want to go over 50 mph just enough to keep up or beat him realisticly he is only running 40 mph.I want to beat him with the factory motor so he say im not cheating..much.then after that i would or might consider a bb kit.been wanting a raptor 700 though decision's decision's

Engine rebuild, clutch ,23" tires, Header and jet kit you have got to be getting 3/4 of the way to what a bb would cost.
