Default Yamaha G14 Engine questions

Hello to all.
I have a 1994? G14 that will not run. There is no compression and I was told the crank shaft was messed up. I have not looked into it yet. My question is, is it worth trying to repair this engine or should I get another one? If I should get another engine, what type is the best and least expensive? Is a snowmobile engine a choice? What other engines would be compatible? Thanks for all info.

The pushrod is not broken. I have taken off the top cover where it is and placed a screw driver on the push rod seat while turning the engine and there was no movement. Thanks though.
