i just bought my 1st g 1 and the other day i was climbing hills and half way up the belt would squel and i would loose power. my first thought was i need a new belt but then i looked at the secondary clutch and the belt was way down in the v and the cart wasnt evan moving. i have inspected the clutches and they seem to be in good shape. any one have any input.

Re: g1 clutch
Sounds like your secondary is sticking "open" if the belt was down in the "V" and you were not moving.......

Re: g1 clutch
Sounds like the secondary clutch is sticking. Take it apart and lube it up. Makes sure the bushing in the sliding half is good and slides freely on the shaft without sticking or wobbling. Check your slider shoes- they are often worn out on these old buggies.
