A question about Jakes lift kits
My G16 has a Jakes lift. I have adjusted the toe and if I push it forward or backward the wheels are parallel. When we get weight in the cart the tops of the wheels come in. Yea I know I need to loose weight. If i move the shocks to the top hole on on the Jakes struts will that help? Are there any other shocks what will work with the Jakes kit?
Thanks |

Re: A question about Jakes lift kits
Yes, move the shocks to the top hole, try that first.

Re: A question about Jakes lift kits
I weigh 220 and my wife is 115. When we are on the cart I dont see anything like that at all. I also have a G16 with Jakes 6". Maybe your springs are weak?? I do have the heavy duty rear spring.

Re: A question about Jakes lift kits
If moving to the top hole doesn't help you can shim the spring. Compress the spring and remove the retainer on top and slide the spring off of the shock. Slide a 1/4" spacer ring onto the shock then reinstall the spring. This will help old weak springs. I have done this many times in the past, the 1/4" could be more or less.

Re: A question about Jakes lift kits
Moving to the top whole eliminated 95% of the lean.
